Since 2007 there are not checkpoints between Countries inside the European Union. You may drive from Portugal until Finland and You never stop at the border. Last summer I did cross the border between Italy and Slovenia at the speed of 120 Km/h (motorway). By plane it is the same. In this site, in the page of "Cechia", You can see 2 photos showing how it was "destroyed" a border between Czechia and Poland (Mala Cermna/Czermna 2006 and 2008).
